Why Piston?

For a little background, the main reason I choose a piston driven AR was because of my time in the military. I served most of my time with an M16. Then the Corps decided to acquire some Heckler and Koch rifles while I was still in. I had the chance to use them for a while and really enjoyed it.

Well, that H&K rifle made up my mind for me. It was the M27 IAR for anyone who wanted to know. Not a MK18.

After seeing how the H&K operated I started looking into other (much cheaper) options. That was when a few buddies and I picked up some Adams Arms uppers.

I don’t personally know of any one who has had issues with Adams Arms and I personally haven’t had any complaints. I did break a lug on the bolt, but that happens to any AR.

Yes, I have read all the forums and watched the YouTube videos about Adams and about piston vs DI. Personally, I really like piston driven.
